Verse Of The Day

1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

The worship experience at RBCCOG reflects joy and passion for our Heavenly Father.  We believe you will have a personal encounter with His love.

Why we clap our hands

We clap our hands to express our celebration in acknowledging who God is.  "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." (Psalm 47:1)

Why do we lift our hands

We lift our hands to surrender ourselves to God. "I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." (1 Timothy 2:8)

Why do we receive offerings

We allow everyone the opportunity to worship God in giving because it allows us the chance to bless God and gives Him a method of blessing us.  Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.  (Malachi 3:10)

Why do we speak in tongues and interpretation of those tongues

Speaking in tongues is God's power flowing through His people to declare His truth.  "Now to each one the manifestations of the Spirit is given for the common good.  To another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues." (1 Corinthians 12:7, 10)

Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick

Anointing with oil is a symbolic act of faith according to the Word of God.  "Is anyone of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14)
